About, CWC Flooring
CWC Flooring, incorporated in September 2011, supplying and installing commercial flooring to blue chip companies across London and the Home Counties. Here is where we came from, and why four floors in five are installed for clients we have worked with before.
1993
Formerly known as Carter Wise Contracts Limited, the company began from a small shop in Morden. It entered the commercial flooring sector providing reactive maintenance services and targeted maintenance projects for the retail industry.
1998
Our Managing Director, Andy Baker, joined the business following the acquisition of the Chrysler UK account. That marked our entry into the automotive dealership sector, which paved the way for our expansion into the commercial industry.
2011
CWC Flooring Ltd was incorporated as a limited company, dedicating ourselves solely to the commercial sector, with a portfolio of blue chip companies.
Today
CWC Flooring Ltd continues to provide professional installation services to a regular client base, on value for money, respect and integrity.
On site
Most of our work is in buildings that cannot stop: a school at half-term, an office over a weekend, a stadium between fixtures. The method is built around that.
Before we quote, we survey the subfloor and discuss the client’s needs. Every floor is different; where a specification does not exist, we aim to create a tailored package to ensure value and longevity for the client.
Once the specification has been agreed, we aim to turn our quotations around within seven working days. Upon acceptance of the quotation, we will require a written purchase order to proceed with the procurement of goods and the allocation of labour.
Prior to the agreed start date, the team will contact you to confirm the site is ready. During the installation you will be provided with a project manager and team.
Prior to completing works, our team will snag their own work to ensure our high standards have been met. This is handed to our project manager to carry out the final inspection and hand the site back to the client.
The commission
For Chelsea’s centenary, the club wanted its crest at the heart of Centenary Hall, not hung on a wall but installed into the floor, where supporters would walk across it.
We reproduced the crest in Polysafe safety flooring, cut, set and welded to the millimetre. You do not get a second go at a floor in front of a full house. It is still down, and we still look after the floors at Stamford Bridge today.
The firm
Floors are installed by our own fitters, the same teams, job after job. Whoever answers the phone knows the work.
It is a smaller way of working than most, and we have kept it that way on purpose.
